I am a novice in the study of the Sikh diaspora and have always been fascinated by the movement of the community in the Middle East and Canada. While much has been documented of the Sikhs in Canada, very little has been written about their arrival as labour in the Middle East and their progression into business men and entrepreneurs in a rather hostile environment.. If you or any of the other readers can suggest any further reading on the subject, it would be welcome.
Meanwhile, I sincerely hope you can continue the good work after November 2010.
Regards,
B de W

Dear Himadri ji,good to read your reflecions on Sikh Studies on Sikh mosaic in India .I am eagerly waiting for Vol-2 of the 'Other Sikhs,'
What do you think of of our small but innovative effort
in studying 'Sikhs Living outside Punjab' in Oct2009 seminar held at Chandigarh by Institute of Sikh Studies,in which you also participated.A little mention of that would have encouraged us.
We remember you and wish to continue association with you.
Our regards and Best Wishes
