CATALOGUE NOTE — Gouache heightened with gold on paper, two nimbate Sikh figures, one in red robes and another in rich green garb sit on the terrace of a pavilion, eight figures kneel before them and two figures stand, as if on guard before its stepped entrance, behind the group an elegant arcaded facade decorated in pietra dura, laid down within brown borders with plain white cartouches, small areas of scuffing

CATALOGUE NOTE — Gouache heightened with gold on paper, the miniature divided into rectangles, each depicting a Sikh guru seated on a rug leaning against a baluster cushion or standing on a terrace, each guru accompanied by an attendant with a fly-whisk or spittoon, one accompanied also by a musician, within gold and polychrome borders on a wide margin with lotuses on pink ground and empty red cartouche above, small losses to edges of folio.
