CATALOGUE NOTE — Gouache heightened with gold on English watermarked paper, 60ff. plus 4 fly-leaves, the illustrations including portraits of Sikh Rulers, architectural monuments of Lahore, a depiction of the golden temple and artisans and agriculturalists, the illustrations set in gold and polychrome rules, many folios with identification inscriptions in a 19th century hand, in a brown morocco binding with tooled floral border signed in nasta’liq Baha’ al-Din Nishapuri, marbled paper doublures, opening folio with an owner’s inscription in a 19th century hand. – Illustrations 7¾ x 5½in. (19.6 x 13.8cm.); folio 10¼ x 7½in. (26 x 18.8cm.)
