CATALOGUE NOTE — The damascus twist barrel with gold damascened scrolling palmettes and floral vine at either end, four silver clamps around barrel and stock, one with an attached cusped openwork belt hook, steel ramrod, silver plates on either side of the base of the lock, upper section of the butt with floral pins, palmette head and cusped tail, with engraved dedication on left-hand plate, iron lock and trigger and gold damascened iron sight, long extended wooden butt with pairs of silver rosettes on either side
